creative practice

My creative practice is rooted in exploration, reflection, and color. Through projects like Color Your Feelings, I use art as a way to translate emotion into visual expression.

This space shares creative prompts, reflections, and experiments that explore how color, texture, and storytelling shape the way we process experiences and connect with others.

The Weekly Creative Rhythm

color in practice

Each week’s color exploration becomes the inspiration for a new painting created during Studio Friday.

  • An informational graphic about a color of the week, showing warm coral with a holographic, shiny background. Text indicates the hex code #F28B82 and suggests using coral to express bold, flowing, or free movement, with options for courage, action, and playful confidence.
  • Painting of a pink jellyfish with a translucent bell and long tentacles against a dark background.
  • A yellow-colored background with text about this week's color, Buttercup, HEX code #F9E5A7. The text encourages creating something joyful and using Buttercup to brighten the day.
  • A painted picture of a yellow and pink flower with a green leaf below it, on a white piece of paper.

midweek mindset

Thoughtful prompts designed to encourage reflection, growth, and perspective.

  • A note titled 'Midweek Mindset' handwritten on lined paper with a small green Christmas tree illustration at the bottom left corner. The note asks, 'What did this year teach you about yourself?' The paper is pinned on a Christmas tree with presents visible at the bottom of the image.
  • A handwritten note on a piece of paper with the words "Midweek Mindset" at the top, placed on a blurred background of a Christmas or holiday scene with presents and a fireplace.
  • A festive scene with a handwritten note titled 'Midweek Mindset' on a piece of lined paper, surrounded by sprinkled confetti, a glittery gold star, a disco ball, a small wrapped gift, and curling ribbon.
  • A notepad with the title 'Midweek Mindset' and a written message asking about how someone's mindset has changed this month, decorated with a flower sticker, on a background of various papers, tickets, and stationery items.

SUNDAY AFFIRMATIONS

Weekly affirmations paired with questions that invite deeper reflection and intention.

  • A spiral notebook page with a torn note reading "I am worthy of love that feels gentle, steady, and real." A black pen lies across the page, with two red heart drawings and a photograph of pink roses in a vase. There is a small gray angel figurine and a red ribbon tied into a bow. Handwritten text in red and black says, "Where can I show myself more love today!"
  • An open spiral notebook with various items including a black pen, a torn piece of paper with a quote, a photo of water with rain, a spiral swirl sticker, a paperclip, and handwritten notes questioning small actions to do today.
  • An open spiral notebook with a black pen on top, featuring a sunset photo, a moon and star illustration, a torn paper with a quote, and a handwritten question asking about practicing trusting the process.
  • A notebook with a quote, a painted bird illustration, a pen, paper clouds, and a photo of clouds with ray of sunlight, with a handwritten question 'What can I prepare for with intention?'
